This locket is designed to keep pictures of your loved ones or special places safe, secured behind sapphire glass. Though it looks simple, the medallion features two hidden locks and a frame that’s securely attached, ensuring it will never be lost. Crafted in gold, pressed and shaped by hand with care, this piece takes time and precision to create.

The larger version measures 20 mm in width and has room for a photo on each side. A smaller version is also available, with space for one picture.

  • About the Design

    The design approach behind the 'MÉDAILLON' focuses on the balance between simplicity and meaning. It’s about creating something that feels timeless yet functional, with an emphasis on subtlety and elegance. The hidden mechanisms, like the invisible locks, are carefully integrated to enhance the piece's clean aesthetic without sacrificing practicality. By reducing the design to its essential elements, it embodies the idea that true beauty often lies in what’s not immediately visible. The approach is driven by a respect for craftsmanship, where every detail is deliberate and refined, allowing the piece to feel effortless yet deeply considered.

    About the Designer

    Janne Krogh Hansen, originally trained as a goldsmith, has a background from the Design School Institute of Precious Metals in Copenhagen, where she developed a deep fascination with precious metals and their potential as artistic expressions. Her designs are characterized by a careful balance between traditional craftsmanship and modern aesthetics, combining clean lines with unique textures. Her collaboration with partner Karl Ejnar Nybo at Goldfingers has allowed Janne to create jewelry where quality, sustainability, and timeless design come together harmoniously.
